About ESAC: Our Team

Danielle LaBossiere Parr is the Executive Director of ESAC. As the chief spokesperson for the video game industry in Canada, Ms. Parr also serves on the Board of Directors of the Kids Internet Safety Alliance, the Canadian Advisory Committee to the Entertainment Software Rating Board, the Canadian Anti-Counterfeiting Network, the Manitoba Minister’s Advisory Committee on Video Games and the Ontario Government’s Video Game Industry Strategy committee.
Prior to joining ESAC, Ms. Parr worked for several years as a political aide in various provincial and federal governments, including the offices of two provincial premiers, two provincial cabinet ministers, and a federal party leader. In 2002, she was featured in Maclean’s magazine as one of Canada’s top 25 “Leaders of Tomorrow.” She now resides with her husband and son in Toronto, Ontario.

Jason J. Kee is the Director of Policy and Legal Affairs for ESAC. Prior to joining ESAC, Mr. Kee was an associate with Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP practicing in Intellectual Property, Information Technology and Entertainment Law. He is the former legal and policy counsel to the Canadian Interactive Alliance / Alliance Interactive Canadienne. He is the founder and former chair of the interactive media committee of the Canadian IT Law Association, Technology Liaison for the Entertainment, Media & Communications Section of the Ontario Bar Association, and an active member of numerous other legal associations.

Julien Lavoie is the Director of Public Relations of ESAC. Prior to joining ESAC, Mr. Lavoie managed communications, public affairs and parliamentary relations for other industry associations including the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada and the Canadian Association of Broadcasters. He also headed up communications and marketing activities for the not-for-profit Media Awareness Network. Mr. Lavoie started his career as a political aide to the federal Minister of Canadian Heritage.

Jeannette Holder is the Public Relations and Membership Coordinator at ESAC. Prior to joining ESAC, Jeannette was the Corporate Donations Coordinator at an energy company where she managed employee volunteer initiatives. In this role she executed a number of internal and external communications initiatives. She has a Corporate Communications Certificate from Seneca College and a Bachelors Degree in Media, Information and Technoculture from the University of Western Ontario.

Stephen Thompson is the Communications Coordinator at ESAC. Stephen is a recent Graduate of Carleton University’s Communications program obtaining his honours with a focus on public affairs and media strategies and Canadian political communications. Throughout his studies, he was actively engaged in social clubs and student associations, including the Communications Undergraduate Student Society (CUSS).
