How the Video Game Industry Achieves Trust and Safety

For more than 25 years, the Video Game Industry has put players first.

The Industry’s Commitment to Canadian Players

The video game industry is committed to creating a safe online space for all Canadian players.

To achieve this goal, we have adopted a multidisciplinary approach to build a safer and more inclusive online environment. This includes implementing cutting-edge technologies to prevent harm before it occurs, developing parental and player controls to empower users, ensuring skilled human oversight to moderate communities, creating codes of conduct to set player expectations and, above all, working together to ensure that trust and safety is at the forefront of everything we do.

An Ongoing Commitment

Player safety has been a priority of the video game industry for many years. We remain committed to working together to develop new and enhanced methods to protect players online so that Canadians from all backgrounds can continue enjoying the fun and safe online spaces they deserve.
