Toronto, March 28, 2023 – Today the Entertainment Software Association of Canada is delighted to welcome Tencent to its growing list of members.  As the voice of Canada’s video game industry, ESAC serves its membership by engaging with government, public relations, and policy stakeholders across the country and abroad. ESAC is proud of the role it plays in supporting the growth of Canada’s video game industry.

The success of Canada’s industry is due to the combination of homegrown success stories and investment by some of the world’s largest publishers and developers.  The creation of this ecosystem has allowed Canada’s industry to rival those of larger countries.  ESAC’s mandate is to work on behalf of our members to improve the business environment for video game companies in order to grow our footprint, employment, and investment.  Tencent is the latest example of a global company investing in Canada to contribute to the incredible ecosystem that exists here.
